treatment for low libido

Postby kuvasz65 on Tue Apr 29, 2008 10:02 pm

I have gone through menopause (1 year) and have difficulty having an orgasm. Any advice. What is the best combination of hormones and in what form (cream, patch, pill?) best to take. Thanks kuvasz65

I had a complete hysterectomy about 6 years ago. I am 45. I have always been very sexual. I was afraid that I would lose my sexdrive when I lost my ovaries, etc. I tried several different hormone replacements. The one I like the best and have been on for all this time is called Estratest. There is a generic type called Syntest. This has estrogen and testosterone. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with me. I can achieve orgasm, quite quickly and enjoy sex regularly. Hope this helps.

Is Estratest/Syntest an otc item or is a prescription required?
