So what are BHRT's and are they natural enough for a bad liver to process?

Hi Patti, although I am not a health care professional and I don't give that sort of advice, I'm thinking that you might be a candidate for BHRT (which stands for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy) because most of it is delivered through the skin, thus initially bypassing the liver. It would be something to talk to a doctor about (one that is skilled in bioidentical hormones). I think Women's Health America has a list of doctors available, and as an alternative, call a couple compounding pharmacies in your area and ask them for referrals to doctors. Since most bioidentical hormones (some estrogen patches are available in a regular pharmacy) are compounded, they know who is prescribing and who isn't. I hope this helps, I have a blog at holyhormones.blogspot.com ---- drop by and check it out!
